Upstairs is the coffee lounge. Here your coffee is made the traditional way, and served with a selection of sandwiches and cakes.

Our inclusive atmosphere is unique in York, with a beautiful historic location, a warm welcome, and lots of space for families and disabled access.

Our Restaurant serves home cooked food, with a different main course offered each day along with soup of the day, jackets potatoes, cakes and hot and cold drinks. Or why not try one of our speciality teas?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our food, and make most of our products from fresh ingredients on-site.  We seek to use the best quality materials, using local, small scale suppliers wherever possible.  Our kitchen is open plan so you can see us working, and if you enjoy your meal let us know and we’ll try to get you the recipe.

And finally, our shop is a treasure trove of fairly-traded products, from chocolate to cards and gifts.
