Sausage and Cider Caserole

 

1 tbsp dried mixed herbs

450g quality pork sausages

1 onion

225g carrots cleaned and roughly chopped

225g celery cleaned and chopped

1 tin of tomatoes

300ml cider

4 tsp garlic purée

casserole dish

 

Method

Cook the sausages until brown.

Chop the onions roughly and sauté them in a little oil.

Add in the mixed herbs and garlic purée.

Add in the vegetables and cook for 5 minutes.

Add in the tomatoes and cider and simmer for 5 minutes.

Cut up the sausages and add to the mix.

Place the mix into a casserole dish and cook in an oven at 180C gas mark 4 for 20 minutes or longer if required.
